Summer's Almost Over...Again!

So, here I am writing the first entry of my first blog, upon the encouragement of my brother and sister-in-law!

We are in the last week of summer. I can't believe it! (I know I say that every year) I am going to try to re-cap our very full, but very fun summer.

Summer in Michigan started late...mid to late June, and the flowers I had purchased for my landscaping, in April, all died. (Is it my first spring in Michigan?)

We were able to make several trips up north to the "Lake House" and Mackinaw City for different events and get togethers, which was a blessing. In July we went spent the 4th of July weekend with my parents' oldest friends, the Allens, and their daughter and family. Then 2 weekends later we were back up with our best friends, the Chambers and their 3 children. Then we were back up again for "The Balyo Family Reunion", 15 people, at one time, were staying with my parents at their home on Lake Huron...6 of those people were kids, ages 6 mos. to 7 yrs of age! (are you getting the mental picture here?) Lots of boat rides, laughing, firepit fires, bike riding and lots and lots of eating!

Then we were back up again for Renee Fornes' wedding shower. We also took a trip to Mackinac Island, which I personally love to do every summer if we can. (Here's me and Craig on the Arnold Line ferry heading over)

I'm looking forward to fall, jeans and long sleeves, and the trees changing! Warm foods again. I love all the seasons, for different reasons.

We will be homeschooling Jack this year, with a program I'm designing myself (pray for me! ) And Heath will be going to pre-school 3 mornings a week..he is sooooo excited! God is good and has blessed us very much! Keep up with the Tamlyns anytime; I'll blog as much as I can
